J. Nicholas Geist is an essayist. His print essays have appeared in Ninth Letter, Creative Nonfiction, and the much-mourned videogame journal Kill Screen. He publishes video essays as Dad Nuke of the Nuclear Family, where he has been recognized in the BFI's Sight and Sound List, both as an emerging voice and as one of the Best Video Essays of 2022. If you want to know how to create a video essay like this, ask somebody smarter, because he can only tell you the worst possible way to do it.
